
Realistically, I know I’m going to eat that delicious, fried and unhealthy meal, and for that reason, I need to dedicate all other meals to healthy, nutritious foods that my body will thank me for. I have no reason not to nourish, strengthen, and love this body of mine that carries me everyday. After my run/walk, I like to alternate through a day of the different area-focused challenges. Again, these workouts don’t take long, but they leave you feeling the burn. Each daily challenge involves 5 different exercises that are to be be repeated 3 times. She has created a Sore to the Core, Leg & Butt, and Upper Body 30-day challenge. I recently discovered Alexa Jean Fitness. Add a short circuit workout after that, and you’re golden. A two mile walk/run takes no longer than 30 minutes. I try to walk at least a mile and run at least a mile a day.

A good workout really doesn’t take that long. At that point, I’m already clothed for a workout and ready to do the whole shebang. To be fair to Merle, I have promised myself to walk him at least once a day.

A full time job and full schedule at school don’t mix with a year old puppy that’s full of energy. Our one-year-old chocolate lab, Merle keeps me in check though. While I strive to work out every day I used to find every reason not to work out. I’m too tired. But, hey, isn’t a little compromise a good thing? I know my first two blog posts seem to contradict each other. You only live once though, and I will always say yes to french fries and dessert. Thankfully, staying healthy and being fit is important to me. I love to eat fatty, fried delicious things that I know I shouldn’t put in my body.

Judging by my first post about my love for food, you could say exercise needs to be very important to me.
